È l'unica mwcwspecie nota del genere mwdamwdqUapou.

Etimologia

Il genere prende il nome dall'isola di mweqUa Pou, dell'arcipelago delle mwegisole Marchesi.

Distribuzione

La specie è un mwfqendemismo delle mwfgisole Marchesi, appartenenti alla mwfwPolinesia francesecite-ref-linyphiidae-1-0[1]; è stata rinvenuta a circa 1000 metri di altitudine sul monte Tekohepu dell'isola mwhqUa Poucite-ref-2[2].

Tassonomia

L'aracnologo mwjaLevi, in un suo lavoro (1972b) propose di trasferire questo genere alla famiglia mwjqSymphytognathidae; un successivo studio di mwjgBrignoli (1980j) respinse questa tesicite-ref-linyphiidae-1-1[1].

Dal 1935 non sono stati esaminati altri esemplari, né sono state descritte mwlasottospecie al 2012cite-ref-linyphiidae-1-2[1].
